Bamboo is one of the fastest growing plants in the world. Bamboo has the potential to grow to full size in a single season and has very efficient long-term growth. Bamboo grows naturally in the wild: without fertilizers or pesticides. The rapid growth of the plant is mainly due to its unique rhizome-dependent system and leaching power.

The bamboo fiber in our socks is naturally extracted by a biological process: Bamboo cellulose is dissolved by a non-toxic solvent. It is then transformed into yarn and the remaining material is almost entirely recycled and reused.

Bamboo's original properties are not lost in the process to make these natural fibers. For optimization of textile, we still mix organic cotton in a controlled manner.

Bamboo fibers are naturally good for the skin. Antibacterial, Bamboo is very breathable and prevents odours Therefore, our bamboo socks are naturally glossy, smooth and fresh! Bamboo is thermo-active to very high hydrometric measurements (at least twice as high as cotton).

Bamboo fiber is very similar to silk but doesn't crease.

Compared to synthetic fibers, which are produced with raw materials from petroleum or natural gas, bamboo fibers are antistatic and help contribute substantially to the reduction of CO2 in the atmosphere and to lessen the greenhouse effect.

Alpaca fiber is very close to cashmere. It is considered as one of the most fine and luxurious fibers in the world. Known for its softness, lightness and durability.

Alpacas are kept at high altitudes in freezing cold which gives their fiber an higher thermal capacity than most other animals. The fiber also contains microscopic airbags to guarantee the animals a permanent and appropriate coat to fight against the extreme changes of temperature: fine and light

It does not retain water, is thermal even when wet and can resist the solar radiation effectively, for dry and fresh feet in any condition, cold or warm!

Alpaca fleece is said to be 3 times more resistant than traditional wool.

Exceptionally durable and smooth.

If Alpaca fleece is softer than wool, it is because its fibers diameter is twice finer (0,4 microns for Alpaca vs 0,8 for Wool). This explains why alpaca fleece doesn't itch and doesn't shrink like sheep wool.
